Preparing for Darkness
This exhibit was Part of Uwe Goldenstein’s preparing for Darkness.
As artist I feel no commitment to any medium, I condense the materials at hand, I draw from my maze of imagery and aim to bend the senses.
This show is dedicated to Stephen Hawking, who has led us to see the magic of the uncertainty of it all.
[im]probable life: sightings from the event Horizont
This sight inspired installation is about realities and their continuous emergence, about poetry and the power of vision. But also about the fuzziness of it all, the uncertainty of the whole. It could be about the Gods, if we needed them, but different ones. But it is about light and black stars, about a horizon that swallows it all, even time itself and then —— it also is about what might have been found hanging around there.
My starting point is my interest in the systems that make up our world, from the mysterious dance of subatomic particles to the systems that make life possible on this planet to the knowledge and laws that trail off somewhere among the universes.
